More than 80 years later, Cadillacs like this one are becoming increasingly rare—particularly unmodified examples, save for exterior colors. This 1941 Series 61 2-door fastback (Sedanette) is in exemplary condition throughout and is a show-winning head-turner!
The previous owner purchased the car in 1970, providing over 50 years of careful ownership. Around 2011, the car was sent for a comprehensive restoration. The car was stripped down to bare metal, receiving a professional two-stage paint job, along with refinished chrome and bright work.
The car was originally finished in Antoinette Blue, with a blue-gray ribbed cloth interior. During the restoration, the color was changed to a striking shade of periwinkle, referred to as “Blurple,” to accentuate its aesthetic appeal. This change makes the car stand out and adds to its unique charm.
The car was serviced in November 2022 for more than $4,400, ensuring it is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
The paint and trim are in excellent condition, showcasing the care this vehicle has received. The bodywork is straight and solid, with chrome bumpers tightly fitted to the body. The engine bay is extremely tidy, and the cargo area is also in satisfactory condition.

The 1941 Series 61 marked a significant shift in Cadillac’s styling. The former companion-make, LaSalle, was replaced by the Series 61, and the introduction of a single-engine philosophy for Cadillac’s lineup began with the 346 CID L-head V-8 engine. This V-8 engine was capable of delivering outstanding performance, including a top speed of 100 mph. Cadillac’s smooth and refined engine operation became a hallmark of the brand.
The 1941 models also introduced technical advancements like the Hydramatic Drive semi-automatic transmission and notable styling changes, including the bold horizontal “egg-crate” grille and fender-mounted headlamps. The sleek design and elegance of the 1941 Cadillac set it apart from its competitors.
Documentation for the car includes invoices, insurance documents, and assorted parts and miscellany.
