This 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II is a prime example of a well-maintained, classic American muscle car with some unique upgrades. Built at General Motors' Willow Run, Michigan factory in the fourth week of October 1966, it was originally delivered to Wood Motor Company in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The car was purchased by its first owner, Alfred L., on November 8, 1966, after he traded in a 1956 Ford. The second owner acquired it in 2017.
Finished in Granada Gold (code G), the car's paint and trim are in overall very good condition. The bodywork is straight and solid, and the chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body, adding to the car's classic appeal. The engine bay is tidy, as is the cargo area, which contains a full-sized spare tire and jack. It's worth noting that the 1967 model year was the final year for front side vent windows, a distinctive feature of earlier Chevy II models.
The Chevy II rides on Kelly Charger GT radials (205/60R15 in front) and Primewell radials (215/65R15 in back), mounted on factory Turbine-style alloy wheels. The wheels are in excellent condition, and the tires show good tread life.
Under the hood, this Chevy II has been upgraded with a crate 350 CID V-8 engine, featuring a modified camshaft and aftermarket exhausts that produce an aggressive, throaty snarl. The engine has been stripped of non-essential accessories, including air-conditioning, power steering, and power brakes, for a more straightforward, performance-oriented setup. Instead of an engine-driven fan, it has an electrically-operated cooling fan. The engine is mated to a Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission, adding to the car's driving experience. The tach and temperature gauges are currently inoperative.
Inside, the Fawn vinyl bench seats (code 773) are in great shape, with the driver's side seat showing only minor blemishes. The contrasting carpet and matching headliner complement the interior, while the dome light remains functional. The original three-spoke steering wheel shows signs of use, and the Fawn-colored metal dashboard (code 5) and matching vinyl door panels are in excellent condition. The car also features aftermarket oil and coolant gauges beneath the dashboard, giving it a more performance-focused feel. A B&M floor-mounted shifter and a factory AM radio complete the interior, maintaining a classic look.
For 1967, the Chevy II received minor styling updates, including a crosshatch pattern on the deck lid trim panel. Safety improvements were also introduced, such as an energy-absorbing steering column, safety steering wheel, soft interior parts, recessed instrument panel knobs, front seat belt anchors, and a dual brake master cylinder.
